Seated Male and Female Deities
Details
The female deity with plump cheeks was decorated with Japanese style robe, the right hand was shown in a pose of fondling draped hair. The male deity appears to be an elderly official holding a scepter (presently lost). Many other divine statues were expressed turning their faces front, whereas these statues represent unique examples with lively postures.
