Yogi is the kimono-shaped top quilt used in bedding. Like the kimono, it has a collar and sleeves. It was not meant to be worn, but rather to be used as a warm cover. Composed to square top quilts, the shape prevented a cold wind from sneaking in. On more severely cold nights a square quilt would be put on top of the yogi.
